Thanksgiving!

We headed to Monticello for thanksgiving, we had so much fun see all my family. It was my grandpa Randalls 90th birthday, and we celebrated my grandparents 60th anniversary. There are 145 of us cousins, aunts, and uncles. With 4 on the way, and only 21 couldn't make it. So we had a great time! I have to give thanks to my grandparents for all their hard work, and their rightous example. Their posterity truly has been blessed. We were able to go to a session at the Monticello Temple, and the entire room was packed, wall to wall! It was so awesome to be in such a sacred place with my extended family, I think it was a small taste of what heaven will be like. I am so grateful for everything I have been blessed with, and most importantly my eternal family.

We took Ashlyn to see Santa at the Mt. Nebo Market, She liked Mrs. Clause better

One year older and wiser too!

November 19th 2008, at 12:12am, our lives were changed forever. At 6lbs 8oz 18.5 inches long, our little girl arrived from heaven. And life hasn't been the same sense! A few things she has been up to the past year, she can run like crazy, loves to hop all over, feeds herself, comes up with new words everyday, say she sorry, give's everyone lots of hugs and kisses, getting really good at talking and communicating, pull her own pants up and down, and sit on the potty. I can't believe how much she has grown, it is always to fun to watch her grow and progress. But most of all I am grateful for her sweet tender spirit that blesses our lives daily. I love my baby girl and so blessed she chose me to be her mom. It has been a great two years Ashlyn and I look forward to many more, I LOVE YOU!

Halloween!

I'm a little slow on the posting, but doing it none the less! I can't believe October has already come and gone! My baby girl will be turning 2 this month, I can't believe it! We started to get in the halloween spirit by making sugar cookies, 4 hours later we finished them! A good remider to myself only to do that for holidays, with a 2 yr old it takes waaaaay too long! But we had fun anyways, and had a grand finale of a jar of sprinkles spilt EVERYWHERE :) We hit up the pumpkin patch at the "Big Red Barn" this year, Ashlyn loved the tractor ride, and following all the other kids around, I ended up picking out her pumkin, and sadly we only got a couple pics before my camera died ;( We went to our ward trunk or treat, which is always a good time, Ashlyn got a lot of candy, and loved looking at everyone in their costumes. This year was fun cause she could walk and grab her own candy. Next stop was the great grandparents and grandparents. She gets so spoiled by her grandma and grandpa Jones, she loved it! Needless to say my little bumble bee was still buzzin around way past her bed time, gotta love all that candy! All in all we had a great halloween. It's so fun with kids, all the holidays come to life again. Till next time!

not quite done...

I thought I was done but I'm not. I forgot to mention a couple weeks ago Liz and I went home to good 'ol Monticello over the muzzleload hunt and were able to spend some good quality time with our lovely Mom! I being in a rush to get down there, forgot to grab my camera! But we had a great time, we canned lots of peaches, and made some plum jelly, and of coarse had to hit up Wagon Wheel pizza, and the Shake Shack for a little icecream. It's not quite the same without Jan running the place, but it's kind of a tradition to go, and the fact that it's open year round now helps. We also got to spend some time with my brother Dustin, he left for Turkey today :( I hope he has so much fun, but our prayers are with him. And if any of you ladies know a cute single lady, that can put up with 5 protective sister in-laws, you just let me know. Yes, the boy is still batch, and we need to get him married! Anyways, I'm about done, but I have to publicaly give my Dad credit for calling all of our pregnancy genders! There are 3 of us sister pregnant, and due within 3-4 weeks of eachother, so it will be so much fun to have cousins so close. As my Dad called it:

Rachel: Boy
Natalie: Girl
Liz: Girl

So no need for ultrasounds in this family, just a phone call to Dad.

Its a Girl!!!

This post is a little overdue, most of you probably already know, but for those of you that don't know, we are being blessed with another baby girl. I thought I would have a boy, cause this pregnancy has been so different, but that just goes to show every pregnancy is different regaurdless of the gender. But we are happy either way, and just greatful we can have healthy children. Not to mention my renewal of excitment for all the cute clothes, headbands, and playing pretend princesses we have to come. I can't lie, I'm pretty excited to bust out my old polly pockets, and get to play dress up and have tea parties again! I love being a mom, and watching my little angel grow and discover.

Favorite sayings by Ashlyn:

"salsa" I could have her repeat that 100 times a day, she sounds so cute!
"Mom? yay" Before I even have a chance to respond
"Chocy milk"
"Mores"
"nack"
"Ewww"
"Co cone"
"1... 2... 2... 1.... 2..."
"fify" for fishy
"Sowy" sorry

I could go on, she learns so much everyday, and it's fun to be able to carry on a conversation, even if it's a very simple one. I can't wait to welcome our second addition to our family and watch the love grow!

I'm 23 weeks and due Feb. 11th

Funny story, While I was getting my ultrasound my Doctor said, "man she is a busy baby" I sit my head up, look at my little one busy squirming on the screen, then to the end of the room where Devin is chasing Ashlyn around, trying to keep her from opening every cupboard and drawer in the room, then at my Dr. and said "which one?" So needless to say I think I'm gonna have my hands full!

A little more life...

Here are a few more pics of what we have been up to lately. It seems like the older I get the faster time goes. I always have to remind myself to live in the moment, and love every minute of it, cause you don't ever get to relive it. I love my life, my amazing husband, and wild, crazy, energetic, heart melting, little girl. I couldn't have been blessed any better than I have been. I'm thankful for my God, my Savior, and this wonderful bliss we call life. It's not always that way, but we make life as good as we want too, it's crazy how powerful the mind is... Anyways just sharing a few of my thoughts. Life is too short to not enjoy every crazy second of it, even if it is picking up noodles for the 3rd time today... :)

She loves pulling all of my hand towels and hot pads out of the drawer and spreading them all over the kitchen floor. Yep while I'm trying to make dinner, talk about a booby trap...
